About this objectBarrow to carry green (unfired) bricks from the mould to the drying floor and then to the hack. Two-wheeled balanced barrow of timber construction with 5-leaf springs to axle amidships. Designed to carry green bricks in a single layer to minimise damage. Structure comprising timber rails each side with timber thwarts at each end and middle, thwarts tenoned into rails. Adjacent tie-bolts at legs and at forward end, timber legs braced by diagonal steel-rod braces. deck beams of varying thickness – thinnest aft -- over each thwart. Deck of fore-&-aft planks. End-stop ledgers at each end of deck. Cast 8-spoke wheels.
